What we did

Because this was a new build property, we installed a raised loft leg and timber subframe system. This is the correct way to board a new build loft, as it raises the boarding above the required insulation depth in line with NHBC guidelines.

This method also maintains the important airflow gap between the insulation and the loft boarding, helping protect the loft space while creating strong, usable storage.
